“Born in Torrance, California (U.S.A.) in 1982, Pete Deevakul is an artist and photographer with experience+interest in graphic design, independent publishing, datavis, and northeast US birding.
After earning a degree in Art from University of California Los Angeles, he obtained a master’s degree in Photography at the Yale University School of Art.
At UCLA Deevakul was introduced to a curriculum emphasizing experimentation across media, which remains foundational to his work today. At Yale he experienced firsthand the broad range depth of those who devoted their lives to the medium.
These theories, merged with working experience and his multilingual upbringing, make up Deevakul’s inter-disciplinary approach to photography today.”
